A good intermediate level of Apartment

I spent a lot of years at this apartment complex. It transitioned through some good and bad times, three different management companies and two owners.
The good:
This apartment complex has a generous pet policy. I was interested in getting a pet but couldn't ever get the right situation in life to do so, but I was comforted by knowing that the pet deposits were reasonable and the weight restrictions were such that I could get my favorite breeds.
The rent is comparatively cheap compared to many places in Austin. This makes Villas of La Costa a good value for your money.
The closets are extraordinarily spacious. You get a lot of room to spread out your junk. After moving to a new place and visiting a bunch of others, I really appreciate my old Villas closets.
Super Maintenance staff! Things got fixed quickly. Equipment worked about as well as could be expected and was promptly repaired.
Parking: Never seemed to be a problem with parking. We could always park reasonably close to our apartment and there was plenty of room for guests if you so desired.
The Middle: The grounds have been up and down over the years. They are adequate for the nature of the community, but could use serious investment in order to beautify the complex. The complex is starting to get older and the age shows on the level of maintenance and in utility costs.
Office Staff: In my time there these were among the friendliest and most helpful staffs I have ever known.
The St. Johns area is not among the safest neighborhoods in Austin. Our car stereo was taken once and the police officer informed us that approximately twenty other stereos were taken from our complex in the same week.
Neighborly noise: Neighbors frequently play their music loud and have parties that extend outside of their apartments, even at 2-4 AM. While there are community policies in place, the entire culture of the complex is such that there is little that will cull such activity.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced place, this is a good one. Some may not like the neighborhood or the neighbors, but if you have a high tolerance level for such things, then it is a good place.
