Overpriced, not very well kept

Office and maintenance staff were generally very friendly and helpful, but these apartments are simply overpriced for how rundown they feel. Seriously, get about five minutes further out in just about any direction and you'll save money on a much nicer place. There had been some recent cosmetic and even fairly significant improvements made inside my apartment(cheap but relatively new and good looking flooring, the bathtub/shower tiles and toilet had been recently replaced), but all the cabinetry and appliances were clearly original and falling apart/badly in need of being replaced (the kitchen was dingy and just felt dirty no matter how clean it really was). Grounds were kept fairly clean, but the laundry facilities were seriously lacking - TINY washers that were often out of service. Parking stinks - if you live near the office, good luck with one of the few parking spaces nearby, but you will have a long walk when they're full. Speaking of parking, lots of residents/guests seemed to have a problem with the gates - I got lots of random strangers dialing me from the gate to try to get in and witnessed several times people just pull up and non-chalantly get out and physically open the gate. I was actually pretty impressed that the staff managed to keep the gates working the vast majority of the time. Plus, the razor wire fence along the parking lot and exposed dumpsters scattered about just gave the place a really depressing and trashy feel.

My biggest complaint was the roaches though - bad infestation of both the little cockroaches and giant flying water roaches. Pest control visited but the problem didn't improve until I started a daily routine of dusting/spraying around the doors and windows myself.

It's not terrible, but it's just not worth it when there are much better places for LESS money.

haha I lived there and I know what you mean about the barb wire, I hated that gate too people broke it all the time going out the in and in the out, got almost hit a few times stupid drivers. I use to see dead roaches in the pool and a girl complain of mice problems in her unit. The laundry room was always dirty and machines ate tons of my quarters. It wasn't that bad of an area just poor and could have been kept up with the renovations.
