I lived at the Villas at Stone Oak Ranch for a year. I moved out because I had to relocate to Houston. Had I stayed in Austin, I'd definately renew my contract.

The apartments are very roomy, high-quality, contemporary and well kept.

My complaint' The train. I lived by the tracks, and the leasing consultant told me that the train really couldn't be heard because of the double paned windows. I believed her because my friend lives in the complex and I never heard the train inside her apt. My apartment was unfortunately extremely closer to the tracks. The train passes around 4 times during the day and twice at night. I was able to sleep through the noise after my first 2 wks living there. However, I was a bit embarressed when I'd have company over and they would love my apartment then all of a sudden they hear a loud train pass by. Parmer traffic is noisy at times too. If you move here...think location stay as far from the train tracks as possible and away from parmer.

I read some of the other reviews and I must say, I NEVER had bugs in my apt. Its quite possible it was a problem in their side of the complex.

The staff was always nice to me, although there is a definate revolving door effect, there is always someone new.

I recommend the Villas. I did say some negative aspects of living at the Villas, but I just want the reader to be informed. I believed the positive aspects of living at the Villas outweights the negative. I've lived at 4 other Austin complexs and they were unbearable. The Villas is definately less stressful.
