After much time spent in finding the right apt. in Bristol Heights, I went in to sign the lease today and was told that Nancy, the manager had been fired today, so they could no longer honor the price she had given her approval to.
The rental agent attested to the fact that Nancy gave her approval.April did not believe me or her own rental agent !!
I was than told that I could get the apt. for a much higher price and a longer lease.I could not believe what I was hearing!!
It seems to be a tactic this company uses. They have the prospective tenant find an apartment they like, than make out the application, bring in their check stubs, put their deposit,than figure that you have invested so much time in this place that you will say, oh, okay, now I am desperate to pay any price you want.
The rental agent told me that they have done this practice on many people, including a lady just a day before me, who picked up her papers and left angry.
The terms of my lease was agreed on just before they closed yesterday and less than 24 hours later, they pulled this on me.
It is a horrible shame that this company thrives on doing business this way.
They are sitting with many many empty apts. on their hands and are turning away some very qualified people.
Too bad, stay away from here, unless you have the time to be a part of the sleezy game they play.
My freind was going to move here if I did, now they lost 2 tenants.
