Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I have been a tenant for over two years. I have been through three managements here @ the Bristol's. I would say there has been some improvement with the last management-i.e. new paint on the building, the parking lots repainted-some new gym equipment, patio chairs. But up until here recently I thought the Bristol's to be an ok place to live until my neighbor's car has gotten broken into. Security' What security' I guess when he first got the position he took his job seriously because I did see him patrolling-but now' I see him only when he is B-B-Qing or when the cops have already taking care of a problem. Guess he just there for the discounted rent. The amenities' Well for starters, they are ok if you don't work and can use them between the hours of 9-5 after that everything is shut done and closed. But most of us do work so we can pay the rising cost of rent so these are rarely used by working people. The game room always have the same people in there(apparently no job)-as soon as the office opens they are there and they don't leave until the office closes, so of course you can never enjoy that. The computer room always has the same teenage kids who stay on their myspace all day. The patio is normally taken over by someone who doesn't live there and invite their whole family and then some. Not to mention most of these NON-residents will eventually make it to the pool. The pool'! Ha should be the "Community Pool"-no one enforces the rules of the pool, and 90% of the people there are not residents. The swimming pool is always full of people who don't live there-Not to mention they bring their friends as well as their friends friends, so you can never enjoy a nice swim unless it 2am when most of these people have gone to their home. The parking is ok as long as your home early. Overall, I feel that the Bristol's are getting real GHETTO!! When I first moved in it was ok-but here lately it starting to look like something from the EAST Side-I know in the past month the cops have been on the property at least 4 times....not sure what is going on now-I guess they are just desperate for tenants and have lowered their standards-so ANYONE can become a resident. I am now convinced that once my lease is up I will not renew. I do recommend the Bristol's if you are looking for your next place to call home the "PROJECTS". Just a FYI-it looks nice in the day time when they are showing you around and everyone is at work or inside trying to escape the heat-you should come by on a Friday night or Saturday evening and take a look.
