The apartments here are a great location (if you attend UT) and are generally nice, but the management is incredibly incompetent, underqualified, and overpaid.

1. RIDICULOUS POLICIES: The apartments are very dirty when you move in, but like the previous poster said they will impose intense unless your apartment is impeccable.

2. HORRIBLE STAFF: There is a certain front office staff member who is both incompetent and rude. It is extremely disappointing because -------- have worked so hard to dispel the stereotype of being lazy/lacking work ethic, and it is a travesty that this individual has perpetuated that view. On multiple occasions (and I have heard this from a number of other residents as well), she has claimed to be unable to complete certain tasks while others gladly help. For example, in response to repeated complains about pool noises, she suggested "going downstairs and finding out each person's name and apartment number;" otherwise they'd be unable to help. Not that it would be a safety issue or anything, right' And I'm sure drunken college students would love to turn themselves in. She also speaks in a very condescending tone, which is ironic considering her poor educational background.

3. NOISY: The apartment is built like a hotel; every noise echos throughout the center of the complex. If you do choose to live here, stay on the street side or you will wake up to partiers at 2am every night.

4. MALFUNCTIONING APPLIANCES: Things frequently break in the apartment, and the management takes a long time to remedy these issues. If you can live without air conditioning, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and other appliances for several days, then this might just be the place for you.

Considering the RIDICULOUS PRICES for the small living space, I would definitely go elsewhere. If not for the better value, then go to be respected like a human being. Live in a complex where the office management knows their place and realizes that being a glorified secretary does not give them license to lecture you.
