It's been six and a half months since I lived in Voyageurs, and I'm still getting the run-around from the management company. They tried to tell me I owed them two months rent after I left; when I showed them the letters they sent me acknowledging my lease ended two months before the time they were charging me rent for, they backed down. But they still haven't gotten me my security deposit back. They refuse to give me an address and will route me from college student rep to college student rep in an effort to get me to back down.

The apartments are small and smelly in the summer (possibly due to a mold problem), there are often breaks in the pipes (especially in the middle of winter, when the hot water breaks). People often get drunk and puke in the pool. The pool turns into a swampy, alge-y mess in the late summer. I had rats nesting in my ceiling for several months; repeated efforts to get management to get pest control in did nothing so I paid for it myself. The pest control people told me they were there at least once a year to deal with the rat problem.

Yes, the rent is low, but an extra 50 bucks a month will up your quality of life immensely.
