I lived in Walnut Grove from 1998-2002 and felt it was a great deal for what you were paying for.

The residents were a little ghetto, but rarely ever bothered me.

The floorplans were spacious and noise was rarely an issue.

I had a problem in 2001 with my thermostat not kicking off and had to badger management for a couple of months to fix it. It is an older complex, so it had some "older complex" problems. A few times, I had water leaking from the ceiling onto the kitchen countertops because the upstairs residents had rusty, leaky pipes and it seemed to take a few tries to get the problem totally fixed.

So, in summary:
Plusses: spacious, cheap and quiet apartments.

Minuses: may have to kick managements butt a few times to get things fixed (that is if Angie is still running the place).

Also, I don't know if they are still doing this, but they used to have assigned parking and people would park in in my space A LOT. But they may have done away with that, I don't know.
