RIGHT NOW I HOPE THE STAFF OF VENTERRA IS READING THIS BECAUSE THEY CAN KISS MY ASS GOODBYE!

my girlfriend and i moved into our 2 bedroom apartment last year. the staff was nice the first time we walked in the door. but once they got their commission, we were "pushed" into the apartment before we even got a walkthrough of our new pad.

immediatly, we noticed that there wasn't a microwave, so we contacted the office. after 2 weeks of hearing "we have to order it" finally, a guy comes out with a busted-ass used microwave that had been spray-painted on the inside because it had been chipped. he told us that as soon as he had time he would take one of the microwaves out of another model and put it in ours. that microwave still hasn't come and it's been 11 months. we had to buy one on our own. another thing we noticed is that our apartment was supposed to come with sliding doors for the closets. but it's venterra, of course they didn't. actually right now i am sitting at a desk that we put in the closet because we didn't know what to do with the ugly open space.

we also noticed the mirrors were old and had rust at the bottoms. the sink stoppers didn't work. they didn't even have stoppers for the bathtubs.

Right after winter just a couple months into our lease our one of our 2 story windows started to leak when it rained. it took them a week to come out and reseal it.

speaking of winter... all those windows might seem nice in the summer, but in the winter, holy crap. i hope you saved all your newspapers for the entire year, because we just about burned everything to keep warm. forget turning that builder grade 1987 heater on. it will stink up your whole apartment and run up your electric bill. then in the summer... your bill will steadily go up and up and up. keep in mind we set our AC to 79 degrees. ours went from $55 in the spring to over $200 in the mid summer. as i said before, gotta love those state of the art 1987 builder-grade a/c units.

oh... damn almost forgot about the water bill. don't let them con you into thinking your waste desposal and water bill will just be around 25 dollars, because it depends on "your usage". NOT! even if you don't use water for the entire month they will still charge you $45. they don't have submeters. basically you are getting billed for watering the street. that's right, the street. a few of the sprinkler heads are busted because of immature people who think it's funny to kick them. so, your water is going right down the gutter while your bill is going through the roof!

so, i hope you like loud music. i am sick of every friday and saterday night having to listen to the constant bass of that sh*tty music. oh, but the complex can't do anything about it, they told us to call the cops, and the cops told us to call the complex.

if you don't like your neighbores, you can always refer a friend for $200 dollars off your rent. what they don't tell you is that they will come up with every reason in the world not to give it to you. we referred a friend and he was going to move in the following month. we went in to pay our rent that month and well, aparently we have to wait until a month after my buddy moved in. so we wait, 2 months later we come back. "oh, sorry I don't have the authorization for that... i'll have to email my manager." finally after 4 months of bitching, we got our $200 dollars off. and what do ya know... the very next week they raised in to $300.

I also hope you like drugs. maybe you can score some off the dirty little mexican kids who hop the fence and smoke by the dumpster and then play football in the parking lot. they don't even live here.

"Gated access" what a load of ----! everyone goes in the exit because they are too lazy to type in the gate code. not to mention that of the 11 months i have lived here, they have only had the gate working for the last 2 weeks. and people still don't use it.

Every couple weeks or so I see a busted car window with glass all over the ground and no stereo left in the car. so, obviously someone in this complex is willing to trash your car at the drop of a hat. my girlfriend was so scared of getting mugged at night i have to keep mace and a tazer by the door. not to mention the 10 gauge i keep under my bed.

so, seriously... if you are considering moving here because of the rates, forget it. save your money and move to a better complex. it's worth it.

ps if you do move here, don't say i didn't warn you. oh... and park as close to the street lights as you can. you may have to really search to find a street light though, i think there is like... 3 (what a joke)

lived there during this same time period...I will second every single thing he says. I lived with a leak in my ceiling for 9 months because they kept fixing the ceiling...NOT THE ROOF...(of course they fixed it after I moved out). I fought with them forever and the corporate office. They didn't give a rat's ass. I DID have them cited by the city...that is probably the ONLY reason they fixed the roof. I wish I could warn the entire world to avoid this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!
