I'm new to the Austin area and this is the first apartment I've rented since moving here in September. Overall, I've had a pretty decent experience. My lease is up in sept, and I've decided to move because of the floor plans. I will update when I move out.
GROUNDS: The grounds are really nice and are kept up. I originally looked for apartments on the East side (scary, i know) and when I walked on these grounds, it was a nice change. The pool could probably be kept a little cleaner and the residents could be a little more courteous about picking up after their pets. They recently put up stations that carry little bags to encourage pet owners to pick up after their pets.
NOISE: I live on the bottom floor, and I can hear my neighbor upstairs stomping around. I swear it sounds like he jumps everywhere he goes. I also live by the exit gate, and I can always hear that thing rattling open and rattling close. I don't hear the neighbors to the side of me, only the one who lives directly above me.
PARKING: Parking is first come, first serve and I don't have too many problems with it. Sometimes when I come home late during the week, I have to park further than I want to, but it's not bad at all. The parking spaces are uneven - some are tight, and some are wide.
MAINTENANCE: I've only had to request 2 maintenance issues, but they weren't handled. I had water leaking from the walls on a weekend, called the emergency maintenance and never got a call back. They ended up coming by during the week and said they couldn't find anything wrong. No leaks since then. Second, I changed the ac filter myself and I wasn't sure if I did it right. I requested to have maintenance check it out, and I don't think they ever did.
STAFF: The staff is always nice when you go into the clubhouse. I only go in there to pay rent, so I don't have much interaction with them.

We, understand that some of our floor plans may not be conducive to your lifestyle but we do encourage you to also look into the floor plans of our sister properties before you relocate. We apologize for any miscommunication regarding previous maintenance issues you may have had while here. Typically, our maintenance team will leave a ticket indicating they have addressed a work order in your unit, however, after hour emergencies are completed ad hoc and may not include a completion ticket. We have also implemented a new online service where residents may submit work orders via the internet and an automatic email response is sent back to residents once their work order is completed. | |
