Don't Believe the $900 Gift Card Story!

We were promised in our lease as an incentive that we'd be given a $900 gift card within 30 days of moving in. Almost 60 days later I get some story every time I call about the status of this gift card. The check is lost in the mail. American Express is slow in sending them. They could just credit my account through accounting and keep their silly gift card, but a "supervisor" says no to that.
The "laundry room" has 2 washers for hundreds of tenants!
