That is, if you are going to move in.
Lived there for 2 years and one month.
The management changes so often you
feel surprised each time you enter
the office. This is what happened to
me lately. I was going to move out one
month after my lease expires. Went to
the office and inquired whether I'll
have to pay the same monthly rent for
the last month. "Yes, why not" tells
me an easy going management person.
Come to the office six weeks before
move out. "Will I have to pay the
same monthly rent'" asks me. "Yeah,
probably, but will ask the manager
to make sure, she'll give you a
call". One month later the manager
gives me a call and informs me I
owe them 60 bucks month-to-month
rate. "How come", says me, "I've
inquired two times and was sure
that won't gonna happen". "Not
really sure you were", she replies,
"Don't recall ever talking to you
about that". Me stop by the office,
after some bargaining, the manager
agrees to waive the 60 bucks. Move
out, ask her "how about deposit".
"The apartment is OK, you'll get it
all". Sure enough, two months later
I get the check with the 60 bucks
taken out for month-to month rate.
Still waiting for the rest of the
deposit to come...
What a PITA!
To summarize, go ahead and move in,
just watch your wallet while you stay
there.
