Management and Maintenance Sucks the Big One

To be fair to the complex, they are attempting to remedy the situation of there being no hot water in the mornings. Unfortuntely for the residents, the rememdy is a long-term de-scaling of the pipes. The unit was installed over a month ago, and there's really no change. Add to it the one-time $50 rent discount, and it's really quite a slap in the face. The hot water has been a problem for quite some time, but the management refused to do anything about it, bringing it to it's current state. I don't expect to have hot water between 7:15-7:45 in the morning any time soon.
Once again, management has decided that re-striping the parking lot is the only real upgrades these run-down units need. While I don't wholly disagree with the need (okay, maybe I do), the method that the residents must deal with it is a pain in the rear, quite frankly. Sometime this evening after 6pm, we received notification on our door that the ENTIRE parking lot must be vacated from 8am-6pm THE NEXT DAY or be towed at our own expense. Now where is everyone going to park, assuming they actually get tme memo in time' I don't know, because the only other place to park nearby is an office building, where everyone will get towed. Even then, this parking lot holds far, far less than our entire lot does. Phasing of the re-striping would have easily solved this problem, but chances are it cost a little more, and management is much more willing to completely inconvenience the residents without notice than spend a few extra bucks. Should be quite a fiasco tomorrow...
