My roommate and I rented here thinking that we were getting a good deal in a good location and that apartments were nice. The model is very midleading. There was paint splattered everywhere when we moved in which they did not come clean up. Our air conditioner does not work properly and after 4 monthly (3 of which were in ther summer) they finally put ceiling fans in our bedrooms which did not solve the problem in the rest of the house. The air conditioner, when it does come on, rattled so bad that my roommates mirror rattled off the wall and shattered in the floor, which we also had to clean up. Also, we have ants and for the least 4 months have had someone come spray but apparently they do not listen because we still have them. Our apartment was not ready for us at the specified time on move-in day and the phone jacks in our apartment did not work. When our lease is up, we will definitely be moving out and finding a better place to live. There are much nicer and newer places for the same price near the area. O...and like every other weak we get a notice saying there have been car break-ins on the property. That just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Yeah, the break-ins aren't surprising. Westdale decided to not only hire but MOVE IN shady characters to do renovations on the complexes in the area. Far West isn't as nice or safe as it used to be. Shame too, because it used to be very safe and nice.

I lived there for a year and I feel your pain. My worst apartment experience ever! My car was broken into, my roomate's car was broken into TWICE and his girlfriend's car was also broken into. The insulation is TERRIBLE, we lived on the top floor and our electric bill was outrageous and the AC just couldn't keep up in the summer months. Don't even get me started on the roaches and mice. Do yourself a favor and check out Centergate Treetops just west off of Spicewood Springs, they are MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer and not that much more expensive, the difference in my electric bill made up for the price difference alone (double paned glass, much newer apts), plus I am never worried about someone breaking into my car since it is a gated community on top of a hill.
