True, my appliances were old and the burners on the stove were splattered with paint. Everything was just painted over. The linoleum or tiles or whatever it was in the kitchen were uneven. The blinds were broken (which I was later charged for upon move out even though I had noted it in the walk through list). The freezer and fridge had no temperature control so everything was always icy. The doors were awful and cheap (the wood literally peeling up on the bottom), my bedroom even locked me out once. My roommate's shower broke completely, it was never functionally repaired (luckily we had two bathrooms so they just had to use the one that was in my room).
The worst part award, however, definitely goes to my neighbors. Loud, obnoxious, frat-type dudes who would blast that "YEAH, OHHH YEAH (dt dt dt dt, rattlesnake sound)" song at 2, 3, 4am ON REPEAT FOR HOURS. Nothing like parties where people are puking off of the porch, throwing underwear in the trees, and putting beer cans all over the branches that they can reach. Plus, the group singalongs to FREEBIRD at five in the morning. Being loud loud LOUD all the time, not responding to polite requests, or complaints, or even screaming "PLEASE SHUT THE F UP I HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY IN THE MORNING", or multiple police calls and visits. The kicker was that when they finally moved out, they threw their couch off of the porch so we had to look at it for at least a month. All this was only made worse because the people above us were friends with the people below us, so the party was always surrounding us. Management didn't really do anything about these people, even though they had violated multiple rules (especially open container LAWS). Many people around us complained about them, too. I had officially reported them many times.
But, this could happen anywhere. I just wish there was something that was done about it, maybe my roommates and I would have stayed. The place was decent for the money and the space (1200 square feet). At least my shower had water pressure.
Overall, the new management was nice as long as you are nice to them. Don't go in there yelling and screaming about everything and anything that is wrong (I witnessed this), talk to them politely, like a civilized human being. Chances are you will get the same treatment and respect in return. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
