------------- is the Regional Manager for the Westdale Management bureaucracy for the Austin area, including "Westjail" Parke.

Please make her aware of these serious issues and fight for your deposit to be returned by calling her at ----------------------------. Her e-mail is -------------@westdale.com.

Also, go to www.bbb.org and look them up by ADDRESS, NOT BY APARTMENT NAME!!! Yes, they have changed names a couple times over the last several years.

P.S. If you sign an application here, they may not automatically provide you with a copy of it. It includes a clause that states that, if you do not sign a lease within three (3) days of being approved, basically you forfeit your deposit and they have no legal obligation to return it.

MANAGEMENT, How come you started charging for water when it wasn't in the lease and then bitched when people complained and demanded their money back?

Management Response: In response to this persons posting, if you fill out an application to live here and then decide to cancel, you do forfeit your money that you put down. If are declined by management then you do get your money back less the application fee and administrative fees. We try to work with all our residents and applicants and realize that sometimes things happen and people change their minds. That is fine, however you do lose the money that you put down as liquidated damages to the management team. This is standard for any Texas Apartment Association Application that is filled out anywhere.

I am not sure what you referring to. We have always charged for water. Since 2005 when Westdale took over, we have always charged for water. Every property I have ever worked at charged for water. Properties do not pay for water anymore, that is something of the past. Also anyone who uses profanity on this site, I will not respond to nor communicate with. It also says in the User agreement that you agree to that you can not use Peoples names, profanity, etc. on these postings. Apartmentratings.com will remove the profanity from the postings as well.

Don't play stupid. Westdale took over from Dalcor. People had signed leases with Dalcor that DID NOT include water. BEFORE the leases were up Westdale stuck notices at the Pointe at Wood Hollow, Westdale Parke, etc. DEMANDING everyone start paying for water immediately. THAT WAS ILLEGAL as it was not in the lease. Westdale couldn't wait until lease renewals. They pulled the exact same thing with pest control. The people who fought it didn't have to pay but Westdale still happily stole from those who paid. I had 10 months on a lease I had renewed under the previous management and the woman in the management office was really pissy she was going to have to wait to charge me. Her response was basically that we should just pay and shut up.

"Properties do not pay for water anymore, that is something of the past." This is absolutely untrue. How can you make a blanket statement like that? The current apartment complex I live in does not charge for water.

Cry me a river. I suppose your living outside your means if the rents too high and your being charges another $20 - $40 more for something you'll pay for anywhere. Its just included in the rent. Read what your signing. I remember telling everyone that signed a lease knew of the cost for fees, water issues, pest control, and maintenance. I felt bad for the problems to some residents that I developed friendships with but also made sure they had the best apartments before they moved in. I think I know which ones where dumps. I also felt real bad for the people I couldn't help. I hope you all find a better place or things get better for you. I actually liked there area, but wouldn't live there. Maybe that's why I always would tell people that I wouldn't live there!!

My water bill alone doubled and jumped from $20 to $48 this month. My water and trash bill totaled $75 this month compared to $40 the prior months. Something is fishy and mgmt says they have no explanation, and claim people must be using more water!! Really?! Do people really use double the water from one month to another? I don't think so.
