Seriously. Scroll past the fake reviews that are posted (almost weekly) by the staff of this horrible apartment complex, and read the many, many, MANY negative reviews and horror stories of how this place lies, extorts, and provides an all-around miserable living experience.
By the way, posting your own reviews as management is against the apartmentratings.com terms of service. You know that little box you check that says you verify that you are a renter and not an agent of the renting company' But hey, what's one more lie, right'

I lived in this property roughly 3 years ago and this sounds about right. Our air-conditioning took 7, that's right, 7 months to fix (during the summer I should add...). After reading all these reviews it is a wonder that people still actually choose to live here. Hope all is going better for you. You can always try to take things up with the Austin Tenants Association.

I have already posted something about this apartment earlier, but you experienced all of the same things I did even when I lived there four years ago under different property management. One thing though, you should always take photos of your cleanings when you move out - I took photos of mine and got all of my money back. Once you leave, you can't go back and prove you cleaned up! I hope you have found a more livable place!

Go to Oak Ridge. And Westdale sucks. I only stayed for 6 months as well.

I'm counting down the days until my move-out. I'm excited to get out of this complex, but based on this review and previous reviews, i'm also a little nervous of possible erroneous charges. To those who have moved out and still read these, did ya'll ever do a walk through with management? I intend to ask for one.

They're criminal thieves. I'll bet they weren't legally allowed to do that pet deposit/fee to you. They tried illegal stuff on me but we fought them (and won). Of course, they still happily screw those who are too nice to fight.

pay extra attention to the list of charges they give you after you move out and make sure they charged you properly. They charged the last two months of utilities and mailed me a separate bill for the same utilities. I dont think they're suppose to deduct those utilities off your security deposit. and whatever that was left of your security deposit, they will make up some bogus charge they cant "explain". if they say they dont make the deductions and that corporate does, ask for the corporate contact info. if they dont give you that info which they didnt for me but are suppose to, just google their name, heck, i mentioned this dilemma to my current apartment and they were willing to give me the corporate contact info for this apartment. apartments are legally obligated to give that info, but this apartment claims they just dont know. call corporate, they'll give you the number to the regional manager of the apartments (dont remember the actual title) who was in san antonio, the regional manager will call this apartment and a lady you'll rarely ever see at westdale will call you and give you the same run around until you explain the math to her in the simplest way you possibly can, which case they'll claim they see the glitch and will call you back. Then a different lady will call you back and say they cant seem to find the origin of this bogus charge or charges and will apologize (if you're lucky) and will mail you the difference.

Let me just tell you... I do not live at Parke, but I have dealt with the Manager Karen and she is the crudest, rudest, most incompetent person I have ever known and it is a wonder to me how some people are able to get a job and keep it the way she treats people. These complaints about the complex are mainly issues with the management and rarely (if ever) read by the company, therefor you are just typing here to vent and doing nothing to improve anything. I suggest you call, write, AND email the owners and the corporate off directly about these complaints! Don't stop posting though hopefully if the rentals go down because of these reviews they will rethink who they give the power to run their properties! All of the Westdale Properties have the potential to be good places to live, right location and great rates, it's the low class, dead heads they allow to run them that kills it for the most part!!!!
