My roommate has already posted a review which sums up our feelings perfectly but I wanted to be specific in case some of you feel you need examples when making a decision.

About two weeks before our move in, we called and asked to move in a few days earlier (Saturday instead of Monday) to which they said "sure, no problem". When we moved in that day, it was not close to being ready. We had even told them we would not judge the apartment until our original move in date (the Monday) so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Here is the problem, nothing got fixed by Monday. In fact, it took about a month of calling and writing emails to them to finally get our huge list of maintenance issues fixed. The hilarious part was how they kept referring to them "letting us move in early". Considering it took them about 30 days to resolve these issues, we're not quite sure how the 2 days they gave us is even relevant. This was just the start of a nightmare year.

They also failed to mention that they have two completely seperate complexes within Westdale Parke with seperate addresses yet it appears to be one large complex. There are two of many of the same unit numbers so we had another 2115 within the complex. Because of this, there are two sets of mailboxes and we were not told this. Instead we kept trying our key at the wrong one and finally went to the office to find out what the problem was. As opposed to verifying the mailbox that we were going to, the leasing agent gave us a new key...except that wasn't the problem. What they did was give us the key to the other 2115s mailbox (the one we were accidentally trying to open) so suddenly we had access to other peoples mail without any verification from management.

Another day I returned home to find a notice on our door that we were being charged $400 for breaking the pet agreement. We had never once had an animal in our apartment. Apparently their assistant manager saw a cat on our balcony so he assumed it was ours and without checking the apartment or speaking to us, tried charging us a ludicrous sum. Imagine that, a cat climbed somewhere! Who would have guessed'!

The list of problems we ran into with them during the year could go on for a while but I'll cut to post move out. They tried charging us for a problem with our master bath tub that actually occurred after they did the water pipe descale (may have spelled that wrong, its where they remove calcium build up in the pipes, this also left our hot water murky for the remainder of the year). We turned in several maintenance requests for them to come view the tub and clean it and not only did they never do this, now they're trying to charge us for it being dirty.

Basically, they do absolutely nothing correct here. These people do not understand that tenants are customers; we do not have to live there because there are plenty of vacancies elsewhere. They have zero customer service skills and the only people employed by this company that you will not hate are the maintenance guys (for some reason, maintenance guys are often quite nice). I urge you to just move on and do not even consider this place when deciding where to stay. Best of luck in your apartment hunting.

Mike
