They charged me $200 "unrefundable" deposit on top of a $200 refundable deposit, I agreed only because I need to move out of my old apt fast. They show me their model unit which was in good condition but "can't" show my unit until the day I move in, it turns out to be a dump. Four A/C units are outside of my bedroom window, they drive me crazy! You must pay rent before the 3rd of each month or you'll be charged $75, most other place allows up to 5 days. Incompetent staff - one person will tell you one thing while the other will tell you something else and they have no idea of what they're talking about half of the time. There is also the water outage issue mentioned in previous posts, not once but twice, and when I inquire about the outage they blamed me for not reading their newsletters. They'll tack on extra fees at EVERY chance they get. I gave one star to Staff only because you can't give a negative rating. The best part - the management expressed the same attitude when I called to express my concerns and they just don't care. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

Yes! An honest critique. This is just what happened to me. I feel your pain. Couldn't wait for my lease to expire so I could get the heck out.People out there, move here at your own risk.

You are honestly complaining about having to pay your rent by the third? Um, rent is due on the first buddy, the grace period allows you till the 3rd. I don't know of any place that gives you five days, because it is a pretty standard regulation of the austin apartment association and just standard on leases in general.
