Guidelines to Protect Newcomers

Looks like I'll see Westdale in court.
Can't begin to describe all the ways they're trying to rip us off and yes, I also had mold.
Suggestions for newcomers:
1. Get receipts for everything and keep them.
2. When you move in and pay Deposit, Admin and Application fees, require an itemized receipt stating what each charge is for. So, if you pay $200. you want a receipt stating $100's for the dep. $50. is admin.. or however it's divided out.
3. Take pictures of everything when you move in AND move out.
4. Fill out the 'Move in" form and keep a copy for yourself.
5. Document all correspondence via email so you have proof of what was said.
I'm giving the apartment manager one more chance to come clean and then will proceed to court to sue for triple damages. They don't realize how far off their books are from my documentation of proof.. so I'm betting a judge will grant me the triple damages.
