As a whole the pointe has been a positive living environment. I'v been there since the summer of '04. In the second week I was there we lost hot water for 2 weeks...I wanted peoples heads...In the end it got fixed we recieved a discount on rent for a couple of months but it was still a major inconvience.
As a whole you get what you pay for. It is relatively cheap and you get tons of square footage with a liberal pet policy (what brought me). The complex has some whiny old ladies in it but besides that it's rather peaceful/pleasant.
My only real problem with the complex isn't there fault. For the campus commute, traffic is a pain but such is the nature of living on the outskirts.
