i've lived here since 2004 when they were owned by dalcor. dalcor was obviously trying to sell because the place was slowly falling apart and they didn't want to spend money on any repairs. westdale bought them out and everything has slowly been getting better ever since. the management has worked with me any time i've had a concern and they renewed the lease on my one bedroom apt at a rate that's still at least $50 less than the going rate for this area of town. they're occupancy level is in the 90% range and i still have no complaints about parking. the a/c in my apt can freeze me out. i never have problems with rodents, bugs, etc. the pool is always clean and ICE COLD. they're in walking distance to everything on far west blvd..HEB. chevron. blockbuster. strip centers, etc.
in closing, i want to say that i've lived in some real dumps in THIS AREA of town in the past few years but this one renewed my faith that there are still some really good apt complexes left. thanks.

Congrats, Chris. I am sincerely happy that someone has had a good experience at these apartments. When I moved in, it was because a friend of mine felt the same way. However, she had lived in the apts that had been remodeled previously and had their own water boiler and hence no water problems. Unfortunately, the other side of the complex is ass on a white hot stick. Combine that with management that apparently treats the poor people stuck in that side of the complex worse than the luckier few, and I would still have to say that Pointe is bad news. No one should ever move into a Westdale property just for the simple fact that they add in new charges in the middle of the lease, try and get you to pay extra when you move out, and various other illegal actions which they KNOW are illegal. This is all in the hopes of scrounging extra money out of everyone they can. It's disgusting and very sad.

I totally agree!!! I could not agree more! I have had extra charges added to my apartment rent which I thought was high for the quality of maintenance anyways! We have a bug problem that has yet to get fixed (we are paying for pest control!), leaks around the door frame, mold, paint chips coming off the tub where some moron decided it would be a good idea to paint the tub instead of epoxy it, water stains on the ceiling, rotting cabinet doors, water that never stays on a consistent temperature....ect. i could go on. All of these problems were addressed with management and were either not fixed or the job was halfway done. They finally fixed a leak but left the walls unpainted so now there are water marks on the walls. It really looks like we live in a dump. I am embarrased to have people over. Yet, I am supposed to willingly be happy about the additional charges they are tacking on to "better the apartment complex". Funny thing...they are not "bettering" my apartment!!! This is really so infuriating that I decided to move out and not renew my lease when I have lived here for several years and put up with so much! As a loyal tenant, you would think they would want to bend over backwards to make you stay. Apparently not.
