I've lived here for nearly 3 years now and am glad to be leaving. The exterior has been renovated, but the interiors are still rather shabby. I occasionally hear a large crack noise from the ceiling. It's been happening since I first moved in. The windows and sliding glass door are not well insulated and my heating and cooling bills are generally a little over $100 a month for an aproximately 600 sq foot apartment. For as long as I have been living here, I have had issues with the water temperature and pressure changing. My showers take twice as long as they should because I spend half the time adjusting the temperature to something bareable. I have also recently been surprised to come home and find maintinance staff in my apartment without any prior notice, and I suspect that they have been in my apartment without my knowledge before. I failed to put my fire extinguisher outside my door a couple months ago because they put the notice at the mailboxes rather than on the apartment doors and I didn't see it until the following day. I was left a new fire extinguisher and when I went to put it under the sink, I found that the old one was missing.
I have stayed here because the price was really good, especially for the area, it is very convenient for busing downtown and to campus, and the area is pretty quiet. But, they want to raise my rent by nearly $100 a month if I renew again, so out I go. I can't say that I'll miss anything about this place other than its location.
