I'm perfectly happy with the apartment I'm in, but because they're condos, it all depends on who owns the one you lease. The unit I'm in has new carpet, new a/c, relatively new tile in the kitchen. I know some of them aren't as well kept though.

It's a pretty convenient location--only a block and a half from two different West Campus bus stops, and only a five minute walk from campus.

The noise isn't bad in the bedrooms, but if something is going on outside in the walkway, you can hear people. You can't really hear your neighbors through the walls unless they're banging into them.

There's a fraternity right behind the complex, but they only have one large party a semester--the worst is when they do their builds, but even then they don't start until about 9 am, and end by 10 pm.


The only bad part is the pool isn't maintained, and the drainage is poor when it rains--one of the staircases turns into a waterfall.

Ely manages the property, and it can be a pain in the ass to get them to do anything about the exteriors. Individual owners maintain the actual units, so the service you get from them depends on who it is.
