Maintenance sucks

These apartments are very old and run down and the maintenance sucks. It is worth paying $100 more a month to not have to deal with them.
Good things: very quiet and lovely creek running through the middle of the apt complex. if you have a creek view (like me) than you'll have a nice view but the parking lot alternative view is really bad.
The manager used to suck, she constantly lied because she had no clue what was going on. She kept telling us a move in date and when we asked when we were going to move in, she pushed it back and denied the earlier move-in date she gave. Anyway, she is gone now and the new manager is much better.
We had to move into our apartment before it was cleaned because we were so fed up. Not only that, the floor is vinyl and has stains on it that won't come off. It is also torn in places and they spilled paint and caulk on it in the bathroom. The kitchen is very small and the appliances are for the most part old and inefficient. Our dishwasher was made in 1973 (called the manufacturer) and did not clean our dishes at all. In fact they came out dirtier than when we put them in. It took us 2 months to get a replacement. We also had problems with the lock getting stuck, the electrical sockets being loose and not holding the plugs in.
Oh, and the water. Forget water pressure. It goes up and down without warning, as does the water temperature. I spend half my shower tim adjusting the temperature so I am not scalded or frozen to death by the water. It never stays one temperature for more than a minute. This is very annoying.
