Stay away, new management horrible

When we first moved here in 2004, the management was excellent. You were treated with respect and understanding, maintenance was done quickly and without question, and we were always notified of things.

Then the complex was sold, and things have gone to crap. The new management is condescending, treats children and animals very poorly, and is racist. The two black families are both not allowed to renew their leases due to bs reasons. For instance, rumors of selling drugs (which is absolutely false) and damage that was very easily corrected without any cost. We actually overheard the manager call one woman a n**ger once she left.

Also, we never receive notice (as required by law) that someone is to enter the apartment. There has been constant construction since the new management arrived, yet nothing is ever completed. We were not told that people were coming in to replace windows, paint the doors (which still hasn't happened) or anything else. And now they've started a tow truck patrolling the complex looking for perceived violations like double parking, which is not included in our lease. Cars were towed without any right, which caused a lot of unnecessary trouble. And now, the trucks still patrol even though we have never received notice of the change.

and to top it all off, crime has increased lately. Strange occurrances of car breakins and vandalism where we didn't have problems before. There are a lot of construction people on the grounds all the time, and it's starting to look like maybe there are people casing the complex. But I don't feel safe and secure anymore, and can't wait to move out.

This management is shady and cannot be trusted. If you have kids or are a minority, run as far away from this place as possible. And if you want to be respected and given notice as required by law, stay away. The 'improvements' they're doing are far from improvements, and it seems like it's an excuse to spend money and increase the rent. It's not worth it. Go to an apartment locator and find someplace else so you don't have to deal with this insanity.

I completely disagree with what this person is writing about. Since the new management has come in there is finally some uniformity at this property. I think the new manager is very to the point and gets things taken care of immediately. The children that this person is talking about are very unruly children and have no discipline what so ever. I see the manager doing the best she can with the children. There is a major renovation going on at the property and in order to have nice things you need to be able to take care of them. I see the children out here writing on the brand new sidewalks evertyime a new one is put in place. The manager has to go out there and try to remove these names. As for being a racist, I don't agree. I see that she treats everyone with professionalism and respect. I have always received a notice when someone is entering the apartment and have always received notices in advance whenever they are doing something new to our apartment. i.e. new patio doors, windows, countertops, cabinets, new siding. I could go on and on. As for the tow truck this person is talking about this is the same company (towing) that was in place when the old management was here and they have always patrolled the area in the day and evening time. I don't think the management is shady in the least bit. It's about time they finally got someone in the office that knows what she's doing. If the manager has asked the person who wrote this to move out, I'm sure there was reasoning behind it. (like maybe your children are the ones damaging the property.) 10 year resident. I wouldn't think of moving.

Incorrect tenyearresident. I was there and have first hand knowledge of the tow company policy and how it was changed after new management arrived for which no one was given advanced notice. Mangement has no regard for working families and families who paid rent consistently and on time. And notices--the reason why notices were even being sent out to tenants was the deligent work of a few to make sure management was doing things according to the law. Management should have left the property in its park like atmosphere. Now it is a concrete jungle with cast iron gates. The improvements to the inside are wonderful but all else is crap. Management still doesn't know what they are doing. And about the racist statment--to seal the deal; she allowed all other tenants who where asked to move--to stay. They happen to be hispanic. Management is not only racist but discriminating as well. Stay Away. Management's mindset is sterotypical and it breaks many fair housing laws. Not everyone is a drug dealer or has unruly children or come from ghettos and slums. Tenants of all races; Know Your Fair Housing Rights!!!!
