Don't Live Here!

I can't do anything but agree with the previous two reviews. I think most of the people living in this complex are so lazy or stupid that they don't care about how many issues the place has. I don't see any other way this complex can continue to stay open unless they run only off the money from people like me who get stuck there. I had to take a lease there because they were the only option at the time that would accept my dog, normally considered an "agressive breed." Thank God I only signed a 6-month lease.

One of the previous reviews spoke of Irene Garza and while she wasn't the best manager ever, I would pay double my current rent to have her back over the complete idiots who currently run the property. Earlier in the year it took them over 3 weeks to fix my air conditioner. You may think well it's only June how hot could have been earlier in the year' This is Texas, an air conditioner is almost as necessary as running water. After I had to try to sleep in 85 degree heat every night for over 2 weeks, they finally decided that maybe they could purchase a fan to try to keep me cool until they got the new A/C unit because they either didn't know how to or were not able to fix the one that was there. I tried to ask them what was going on with my A/C almost everyday, and over the whole 3 week period I might have gotten 2 hand written notes with bad grammar as to what the condition of the A/C was and when it might be fixed. Then in the 1 week following the A/C finally being fixed they left me 3 or more of the same type of ridiculous notes asking/telling me to return the fan they "loaned" me, at one point threatening to take me to court if I didn't. Finally, after I went to the office and told them that I would be willing to give the fan back in return for some other compensation for my time spent in sub-stnadard living conditions, they shut up quit bothering me about it.

Currently I'm having an issue with some water drainage in my sink. I've used Drano and I've run the disposal to try to clear things and neither of these simple fixes have worked. They came in and "fixed it" this past Saturday, and I was absolutely floored that anyone even came in to work on it, much less on a Saturday. Anyway, he didn't fix it, he actually made it worse. So I still can't do dishes because the sink is still clogged and now there is a leak so anytime I run the sink a little more water goes into a bucket that I have under the sink and I have to periodically dump it. It is supposedly being fixed now but we'll see how that works out. I went into the office to complain because the guy on Saturday told me he'd be back Monday to fix it at 10am, and as of 3pm no one had showed. When I told the current manager about Saturday her response was "Well I wasn't here Saturday." Is it not the manager's duty to make sure everything runs smoothly whether they are there or not' If the place burns down on a weekend is she absolved of all responsibility because she "wasn't there'" I don't think that's the way it works.

I could continue to talk about the ridiculous conversations I've had with maintenence and the horrible excuses for not fixing things I've gotten from the pea-brained management, but I would hope that what I've already written will suffice to get across the most important point of all of this....DON'T LIVE HERE!!!!!
