I agree with the previous review here that the apartment is OK the tenants are bad. I don't think there is any college student lives here, except for me. I have never seen any other places like this in Austin clustered by so many gang like people. It is totally different from neighborhood apartments like Campus Estate / Village at Riverside, even they are only across the street.
Still, I think it's a good value and my bedroom has a great view. The AC works great, and water is free. The transportation of this area is not as convenient as other sections of riverside, however. It is quite far from HEB, Bus route 26 is not as nice as 27, and UT shuttle CP is not as frequent as other routes, especially in the evening.
You won't feel very safe living here, because of the poor people around you. If you put safety as high priority, the cheap rent ($400 for 1BR) is not worth it. I probably will move out soon to UT apartment, paying $445 for 1BR.
Finally, this apartment still does not have DSL service. I think it is a good idea to check DSL availability before you choose any apartment, since DSL is cheaper and faster than Cable internet.
