Turned into a slum

When I originally signed a lease, there was a background check. Today I live within 100 yards of at least five convicted felons. My apartment has been broken into. The management will single you out and slander you if you do anything but sing their praises. The mold is a major issue and I too have dveloped serious asthma as well as several alergies. Originally, it was a working class neighborhood with some minor noise issues but in the last 6 months it has turned into a crime haven with violent crime becoming prevalent. The management has been reviewed at length so I won't go into it here but the things that sound like bad fiction writing are some of the most truthful.
Parking is a major issue. If you are not getting blocked out by the tiny spaces, you are getting destroyed by hail. The grounds are falling apart and bird carcasses remain on the sidewalks for 5-10 days typically. The maintenance does a good job internally though and are generally good people.
The recent influx of crime has also lead to major noise issues. The neighbors that are the problem are too dangerous to deal with on a personal level. APD responding to major crime has become a common site. The rest does not really matter if you are worried about being an innocent bystander.
Slum is not a strong enough word
