Not terrible but possible mold.

I've lived here for about a year. The cost is reasonable. I pay $600 for a one bedroom with a front patio that's also the walkway. I was blessed with really nice neighbors and I'm in the back, so there's plenty of parking and privacy and I face a nice neighborhood. I have never feared for my safety here. However, this IS an older complex. The water has been turned off a few times however, never for long. But here's a complaint- I frequently have low water pressure with the hot water (never with the cold). So a shower can take a long time occasionally. But honestly, I have been to the doctor a lot lately and have had a non-stop cold and have developed severe allergies and asthma. This has been a complete mystery. I moved in here in January and these problems started in February. I've never had this happen before. I didn't think it could be the apartment but after reading other reviews, I now fear for my health. I will not be renewing because I think there may be mold issues here. Oh and here's a funny thing/ complaint: When it rains, the parking lot floods in the back and it's deep enough that it picks up the dumpsters and carries them into the fence which knocks it down and makes the dumpster difficult to use (too much mud and stuff to get to it). This is not a huge deal but you'd think they would put up a concrete curb or something to keep that from happening. I have photos of that! LOL. Office staff, nice. Safety, fine. Cost, fine. Construction' Possible mold and some water issues. This place has attracted some weirdos but I think it's the low cost of the apartments. Honestly, I've befriended almost everyone and I think it's fine. If not for being sick all the time, I would have given the apartments a higher rating.

I think you're crazy... this complex is horrible! I lived there for a year, and left as fast as possible!!!

If you live somewhere for a full year- that's not leaving "as fast as possible". You stuck with it to avoid the penalties of legally breaking your lease. HOWEVER. You can totally file a complaint with the AAA or TAA to break your lease if you feel it's that bad. www.austinaptassoc.com or www.taa.org ------- Also, I stand be my review. If you think I'm crazy, then you must have LIKED living there. Since I did not recommend it! **rolls eyes** --------- Luckily, the market is in everyone's favor right now to avoid mold-ridden places.
