Think about this carefully

This review is long but I guarantee it is informative. My friend and I moved into the Windsor at the end of January 08' and where immediately shocked at the things we missed on the first inspection. And honestly you kind of have to have lived there for a month or so before you really notice the things that will eventually aggravate you. The first major issue that we experienced at the complex was the poor water pressure. The pressure is poor all of the time. Good luck showering, running the dishwasher or washing clothes. And if you read some other reviews, they really do shut down the water one day a week or every other week to work on this issue. The funny thing is, is that no matter how many times they shut it down and work on it, it is still absolutely terrible. We both work 8-5 every day so the inconvenience of the shut down is of no consequence to us but if you are sick that day or you work from home it would be absolutely unbearable, especially since they shut it down so often. I have no idea what they are doing but it doesn't seem to be working. My next concern for future residents is this. The apartments are slowly falling off the hill and they are falling apart. It is absolutely amazing how the apartment has so many sinks and swells in the floors. It is weird to walk around and sink in one spot and have another spot act as a small trampoline and bounce you up a bit. You should see our kitchen. The fridge and dishwasher are causing the floor in this area to sink in severely giving it an obvious pit like appearance. This has become even worse over time. Also our balcony has literally cracked in half and is in danger of falling. They came out very quickly when we reported the sudden crack but they just put a little bit of plaster over the crack and called it a done deal. The patio shakes with instability and is seriously scary sometimes when you walk around out there. Oh I forgot to mention that we are on the third floor. Perhaps that will add to the anxiousness in my voice here. As mentioned in several posts here on this site, the parking is absolutely unacceptable. Random trees are right in the middle of parking spots. And in some sort of sick joke they have the nerve to call it a compact spot. A motorcycle can't even fit into a few of these much less a mini cooper or god forbid a normal size car. This problem affects about 20% - 30% of the parking lot. Plan on parking and not leaving the complex no later than 8:00 p.m. if you don't want to deal with this lack of engineering and poor planning. Don't be fooled by the small amount of amenities. This place is poorly constructed and it will show it's true colors if you do choose to move in here. Be careful and really be ---- about your inspection of the unit. It is really not worth it even if it is close to downtown. Sorry to be a buzz kill. Good luck finding another place:( P.S. I read other reviews before renting here and refused to listen, thinking they where just written by angry people in the heat of the moment, and now I am paying for it. I am going to miss my beautiful view of Austin from our dangerous balcony but I am not foolish enough to extend what I have already signed up for. Really is a shame. My own fault though.
