AVOID

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009

*Substantial rent increases on renewal (despite assurances of property manager at first signing that rent hardly every goes up). Over 3 years, mine went up about $75 per month
*Pay attention to other posts: ROACHES. An exterminator does come, but you will not be notified when they enter your apartment. I always found out by finding an undated slip from "Bigfoot Pest Control", which was never left in the same place, always someplace obscure (top of the tv, dinner table, kitchen counter). Very disconcerting to know that a stranger was in your apartment without notice on an unspecified date. And the place is still crawling with roaches.
*On first lease signing, the property manager flipped past the "Mold Addendum" like a Vegas card dealer. Ancient, constantly dripping air conditioners guarantee mold.
*Manager feels she has the right to charge ridiculous and arbitrary fees that are not in the lease. Ex. Fire extinguishers are inspected annually. Residents are instructed to leave extinguishers on their porch on a given date or be fined $25, in spite of the fact the manager will enter your apartment at will with no notification.
*Loud trash pick-up, generally around 3am. Lovely.
*Windows and doors are poorly sealed, foundations uneven. Expect high electric bills as you will feel wind blowing through the gaps around your front door.
*Maintenance staff is responsive. The place is generally dilapidated, however, so quick fixes and patches here and there won't change that. Place is rotting from the inside out.
*Exorbitant pet deposit of $500. This is referred to as a deposit. Make no mistake that it is a donation.

Seriously: stay away from this place. I feel like a massive mold problem or something similar is inevitable and the whole place will likely be demolished.
