don't pay rent to live here

this apartment is not worth the money we are paying to live in this area. our shower will randomly go from hot to cold to scalding to freezing without warning. there are ants...everywhere. our air conditioning has broken several times...and this is texas. our washing machine leaks water onto the carpet possibly causing water damage. during big rainstorms water comes up through the foundation and has frequently soaked the carpet. when we first moved in, it looked like someone painted the ENTIRE apartment, without any attention to detail. there are so many layers of paint on my door, i can't shut it all the way without it getting stuck. some of the paint is peeling. the gym (located at another complex, but owned by AIMCO) shouldn't even be called a gym. it has limited machines in a very dank and claustrophobic room. the pool is frequently green (i don't want to know why). i swear my neighbor is not only an elephant, but also a subwoofer. frequent shut down of utilities for repairs (about once a week-2weeks). the complex is about 30 years old, but they should have done some renovations before claiming to be what they are.
on the upside, the maintenance staff is very nice, and they do what they can to fix almost impossible problems. neighbors are pretty nice. bus stops, HEB, arboretum are nearby. good access to mopac and 183. pretty spacious rooms. parking isn't too bad.
generally, i would look at other complexes in the area before choosing woodhollow. all of the above is true, and not intended to mislead apartment hunters. any responses, please be diplomatic, for some responses for previous reviews have been downright rude and uncalled for. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

I agree with the paint thing. My closet doors wouldn't open! The people here are friendly though. It is an older complex, but the water shut downs are annoying.
