I've had the same problems with gas smells. I had a carbon dioxide detector in my apartment and it has gone off on a number of occasions even though the maintenance people deemed it "OK" to live in (stuffy air doesn't make a carbon dioxide detector go off). When people sleep over, warn them about the headaches they'll get the next day. The water can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour to get hot. It takes longer to get hot in the winter time (remember that when you want a hot or decently hot shower...they pay for the water). Our air conditioner leaked on many occasions and we had to constantly contact the leasing office to get it taken care of.

I've seen (with my own two eyes) a snake in my apartment (thanks to my dog who saw it) and a little fellow left rat dropping. Is this a safe place to live'

The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors playing music at all hours of the morning...even listen in on their conversations. Why did I live here for so long' I have no idea.
