going downhill fast!

My husband & I lived in these apartments for five years. We just moved out. Up until the past year or two, we really liked living there. The quality of these apartments is (IMO) in a steady rate of decline.

Our lease with Woodwillow expired at the end of May. We were not given a lease renewal contract until May 27th, despite our repeated requests for one. I had asked repeatedly if we would be given an option to renew, and if our rent would change. The manager never bothered to reply to my questions. Once I caught her on the phone & she did say "I'll call you back with that this afternoon" - but I never heard from her. Since management did not/would not give us the lease renewal until 3 days before our lease expired (instead of the required 30 days), we had no way of knowing if our rent would change, or even if they would give us the option of renewal.

The carpet in our unit was never stretched properly; there were always "humps" in it.

The recent change in management has been a disappointment. The current manager does not respond to maintenance requests or basic questions, whether they're submitted in writing or via telephone. She doesn't seem to always be in the office during the posted hours, either.

We had an emergency maintenance situation that did not get addressed for three days. When maintenance finally did come in to look at the problem, they didn't fix anything & broke the cover to the kitchen light fixture.

Our apartment had one full bath, two half baths. The toilets in the half-baths never worked properly, in spite of repeated requests to get them fixed.

Vandalism in the parking area is a continuous problem. My car was stolen from the parking lot approximately 3 years ago. There are several places in the wooden fence at the back of the property that have been broken from people "cutting" through the property.

The rental rates in this complex are going down, but I'd keep in mind that "ya get what ya pay for".
