I feel pretty lucky to have gotten a place here. It can be difficult if you don't plan ahead. Luckily, I did.

Another review called this a "hidden gem," and I think that's pretty accurate. I've been there close to a year now, and am absolutely going to sign a new lease. In fact, I wish they did multiple-year leases.

I was marveling just the other day how quiet it is there, even with the university population. Maybe it's the good students at St. Ed's, or maybe it's management, but the only time I hear anything is when little children are playing outside (and that's no bother at all). They're very good about keeping the place up, with regular visits by pest control. They even schedule changing the air filter, so you don't have to worry about it. Recently, at their cost, they changed all the lightbulbs in the place to energy efficient bulbs, and also put in a new kind of insulation in the attic.

And all this for LESS rent than far smaller apartments further from downtown. None of my friends can believe it when I tell them how much I pay. Yes, it's an older complex, but since it's maintained well, it's not an issue.

Other folks have also mentioned how nice the management is. I'll echo that point, too. From when I was first looking until the present day, Nathan has just been a really nice guy. He's very approachable, and gets stuff done. The one time that I had to call to have something done, it was completed right away. In fact, I think I had stopped in before work, and when I came home that night, it was already done.

This is far and away the best place I've lived. I usually move around a lot because I get dissatisfied with a place, but if it stays like this, I'll be happy to stay here until I'm ready to buy.
