I lived in Wyndhaven for almost three years. If I didnt hate moving so much, I would have moved out sooner. If it wasnt the only place available when I moved to Austin, I would have chosen another place. Im glad I bought a house and got out of that dump.
Ill start with the staff. Ask a simple question, youll get three different answers from three different people after they spew out the usual coporate policy crap. Not helpful in the least. I had one big maintence issue while I lived there- a ceiling leak. After three days, someone finally came and fixed it. They were nice enough to leave behind splashings of spackle (or whatever they used on the ceiling) all over my furnature.
The parking could be better. Wyndhaven allows people to park their boats and trailers in the lot. Youre ok if you arrive home before 8pm during the week, but youre parking on the other side of the complex if you try to find a spot any later.
The pool and the weight room are both very small. Probably the smallest Ive ever seen in an apartment complex.
The place is hardly secure. The enter/exit gate is CONSTANTLY broken. I estimate it was broken / left open about 1/3 of the time. No joke- anyone could drive in and out at anytime.
The stairs (at least in my building) are noisy as hell. I felt sorry for the people living on the first and second floors. Everytime someone would run up the stairs, they would shake and bang against the wall. It scared the hell out of me more than a few times and I lived on the 3rd (top) floor!
The only good thing about this place is the access to I-35 and Mopac. Your money is better spent else where like Riata. Youll get much more bang for your buck. Wyndhaven just isnt worth it.
