Ok, about the best thing with my apartment is the price for the size. I have the 1 bed with den. It's on the third floor, which I guess is ok since I don't have upstairs neighbors to wake me up by stomping around. The problem (or one of them) is that 3rd floor has higher ceilings, which means taller patio doors. My screen door was installed by some moron, who knows how long before I moved in. They installed it UPSIDE DOWN (so the lock is about a food above where it should be) but also backwards, so even if the lock were in the right place, you could only lock it from the outside. It plainly belongs on an apartment styled opposite mine. I have put in a work order to have a new one installed every month since I moved in- June 04, yet here it is, almost April 05 and STILL NO NEW DOOR! Another issue is that the bottom of the bathtub (where it meets the linoleum) has some weird dark sappy stuff that sticks to and stains whatever it touches. I've put in work orders for someone to come clean it (since I figure maintenance should know what it is and what will remove it) but nobody has even come to check it out. The newest issue is the lack of concern by the management about the safety of residents. My building was vandalized almost a month ago. I notified the office the day after the incident, and still nothing has been done. They haven't cleaned up the mess or replaced broken items. It's obvious that they just don't care at all. About the parking... I usually get home late (around 10pm) and by this time there are NO parking spaces anywhere near my building. I have to park at least 1 building away almost every night. It's worse on the weekends. Office staff is nice, saying they'll check on things, but they're fake and never follow through. Yeah, I thought the value was worth the price, but I've since changed my mind. The cheap price nowhere near balances with the headache and hassle of getting things fixed. I won't be renewing my lease.
