1. When I originally moved in they told me they had a special that would give me a "free" carport for the 1st year. I found out when I renewed that it had not been free, but they simply bumped up the rent price to cover it. I know for sure that they did this because I've talked to several people that rented the same size apartment at the same time, and their rent was $20 less. I showed the paper to the manager showing that I was supposed to have a free carport for 12 months and she basically said tough luck.

2. The noise is unbearable. They will allow renters to have tons of animals that do nothing but make noise morning, noon, and night. There are noisy children running around at all hours too.

3. There have been a ton of breakins while I've lived here.

4. There is dog poo all over the place. No one ever picks up after their dog.

5. Don't pay for a carport. Someone will be in your space everytime the weather is remotely bad. Towing only happens on bright sunny days, so little of that happens.

6. Office staff is horrible. You never speak to the same person twice because turn-over is horrible.

7. One bright spot is that the maintenance staff is great. Unfortunately there is little that can be done with the cheap junk that was installed in the complex. Cheap cabinets, fixtures, shower tile, flooring, you name it and it's the cheapest they could get.

8. Lets just face it, Balch Springs in general is about as fun as watching paint dry.

Oh and you have to give 60 days notice of move out! That right there lets you know that there is trouble, most places only require 30 because they are close to being full. Out of the 16 apartments in my building, at least 3 are empty now and a fourth will be empty by Sunday. I can't wait to get out of here.
