i have lived here for quit some time now.it was very nice , peacefull , clean and neat for the longest time....untill this last summer!! it seems like all the new manager cares about is that her census is up so she can collect more bonuses. Dont get me wrong,the previous manager was a cranky, loud mouthed, pain in the ass ------, but she CARED what kind of people moved in to complex, and if the people were a problem, they were OUT!!! Im all for helping the katrina refugees, but come on folks, do some extensive background checks! New Orleans is one of the most crime infested cities in America. Dont you think the Baker Downs manager needs to be a little more cautious on who she lets live here' I see a whole lot more police around, people yelling and screamy obscinities in the late night-wee hours in the morning,cars speeding with loud fithy music,people honking their horns all hours of the night, intead of getting off their butts and SIMPLY knocking on someones door.i dont need to hear those kind of things,especially when i have my kids here on weekends,or when my my preacher visits for dinner. Enough is ENOUGH!! This is a wonderful place to live,but its going downhill fast! I also noticed graffiti popping up in magic marker all over the place!The mangement needs to evict these trouble makers & provide the decent hard working respectful vitims of Katrina with a quiet, peacefull home.Also,the grounds used to be much more appealing, with full shrubs , mulched flower beds. ( this lures in more residents and makes it more of a home than "just a apartment") This is a top notch apartment complex with potential , capable of so much more.It just needs a little "spring" facelift & get rid of troublemakers. Management, PLEASE HELP US , as my views and opinions are shared by various other residents
