I have lived here over 6 years now and I'm looking for a new place to live. This place has gone so far downhill in the past year it's not even funny. It already had problems with the water being turned off all the time sometimes without notice and things not being fixed or never working right even when "fixed". But since Hurricane Katrina they have let anybody and everybody move in here. I guess all management cares about is getting those checks from fema. The people that they have let move in here are so trashy. I don't feel safe here anymore. My son can't go out to play for fear of what could happen to him. Cars are vandalized constantly. People wander around at all hours and don't care how loud they are. Trash is thrown all around the complex and put out in front of people's apartments to sit in the hot sun for days until trash pick up day even though the rules say it's not to be put out until trash day. In the back corner of the complex they pile up sofas, chairs, mattresses, refrigerators, stoves...you name it and leave them there for weeks or sometimes months.

I can't wait to leave this place. In all the years of living here I've never been able to hear my neighbors but since the TRASH have moved in that's all I hear. People yelling and bass booming from their stereos and kids screaming and that's at all hours of the day and night. None of them even have jobs. They're here all day every day. They have no respect for any of their neighbors and management does NOTHING about it.

If you're thinking about moving to Baker Downs I suggest going elsewhere. This place is HORRIBLE.
