My girlfriend and I moved in at the beginning of May, 2009. We moved in because we loved the location, community, and what we were getting for the price. The people in the office were so nice and sincere. We thought this was almost to good to be true...
Well apparantley it was.
After moving in things changed drastically almost immediately. We discovered several issues with our wonderful apartment from the beginning (after signing the lease and paying a non refundable upfront first month's rent). There was a massive leak from the apartment above in our kitchen. It took us at least one month after several complaints to get it fixed. Also, the dishwasher was completely busted. It is still F-ed up! We have complained to them (nicely) on numerous occasions, and every time they get more and more condescending, like we are some stupid poor people who don't know what we're talking about. They also act like it is the very first time they have heard about it. We have no room to drain dishes, and still, they have not replaced our dishwasher. I find this very annoying because I know I have rights set out in covenants to our lease agreement.
Probably the biggest issue we've had is that we've recently discovered a huge proliferation of mold!!!! Now... when we bring this up to them they try to "educate" us on mold...... OK. I'm a grown man, and I think I know what f-ing mold looks like. It's f-ing EVERYWHERE!!! Yet, they still believe that we have no mold issue. We asked, kindly, that if the mold persists to spread, that they please move us to another apartment. They responded sharply: "There's a $300 move in fee!"
OK - enough "Mr. Nice Guy." This matter will be resolved by my attorneys.
Do not get tricked into moving in here thinking that they will take care of you.
O, I almost forgot - they lied about the amount of the pet deposit. They state that it was a flat $300 fee. When we adopted to dachsuns, they informed us that it was $300 a piece. What a load of BS!
I want to add that if you are black or hispanic, expect to get the full "boardwalk apartments treatment." Although I am neither black or hispanic, I have heard numerous reports from other tenants about disparate treatment amongst the classes here.
To good to be true; well I should have known.
By the way, Kayse is the girl you will most likely talk to. She'll hook you, line and sinker, and then treat you like she thinks you are a low class/minority moron.

Everything he said is absolutely true! Why do they have to treat people like they are crap? Although it has been about 6 months since I've since moved out, it still makes me angry that there are more and more people complaining on the low service from the management? We've all warned others and we all have stated "Kaseys" name on these ratings, but still, the management thinks that the ratings are fake? They are so stupid. It's time to change something, their attitudes, their service, or just tear the damned place down.
