I lived at Boardwalk of Baytown from July 20, 2008 to August 31, 2009. When I first moved in I was 7 and 1/2 months pregnant.I moved in and the lady that was there that helped me was extremely nice. But she left and I had to start telling ----- what was going on.On the inventory sheet, I put that there was a large water spot on the ceiling in the dining room.They never came to fix any of the problems that I put on the sheet.The first problem was the A/C unit.The thermostat didn't work. I told the office, and they sent someone out.The maintance gut never actully fixed it.The next happened after my daughter was born.It was in the winter and the heater didn't work. I told them about it.They sent someone out and he fixed it. The next day, it was broken again. I told them again, and no one came.My boyfriend was there the first time the maintance guy was there.And saw what he did.He was able to get the heater to work.The next thing happened in December.There was mold under the sink in the full bathrooom and in the kitchen.When they came to fix it they had to remove a portion of the wall and the right side of the vanity.They looked and saw no leak.They replace the wall and the right side of the vanity.They told me that they would come back and paint it but never did.My daughter became sick because of the mold.Since I thought that they fixed it I stayed. Well two months later my daughter got sick again so i looked to see if the mold came back and guess what' It was back. I told them again. They came back and painted everything that had mold on it with the Kilt Primer. It is suppose to kill all the mold. My boyfriend came over after they painted and placed a finger on a board to see if it was dry and his finger almost went threw the board. The maintace guy knew that it was rotted and did nothing about it.

On top of all of this, I had a niebor that lived catty corner (up stairs) from me that had ------. I worked 3rd shifts so when I got home all i wanted to do was sleep. Well not only would she come down at 7 in the morning and bother me, she would also let all of her kids run around right in front of our apartment. And right berfore she moved, her --------- broke my daughter window! It took maintance a month to fix it.

In June i gave a 60 day notice. Then in July I gave a 30 day notice with my rent. On the 6th of July, I got a note from the office stating I didn't pay my rent. I took my copy of my money order and showed them that they got it and that I was not responsiable. They told me that they could not find it and I had to get another one.I called my bank and they told me it would $25 in order to cancel it money order.I told them I couldn't pay for it and that they would have to.In the process I found out from the apartments that I wanted to move into that I owed The meadows almost $600 from 2004. Was living at home with my dad, stepmom, and two brothers at the time. A week later, I got the money to cancel the money order. Then another week later I was able to give them the new money order. When I moved out I took pictures. I didn't want them to tell me I owed them money for stuff that I didn't do. 3 weeks after I moved out, I called to find out about my deposit. They told me that I wasn't getting back because of my final bill (which ----- never told me about) and that i actully owed them money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I will be filing one with Houston Apartment Association. I wouldn't recommend anyone to live there EVER!!!!!!

Ok look you pdon't know me. And what happened happened. I didn't live in the Meadows ever! My family has a house in Houston! That is where I lived. And just so you know if you ask your bank they will tell you that it will take up to three weeks to get it back. and who ever told you that it took 60 days is moron! I am not a hooker and i don't do crack! I worked Grayyards b/c that was the only shift that I could get! You have no right to come on here and start saying things like that! I have never been evicted from a single place that I lived in. If you have lived there for 5 yrs, then you must have gone through more maintance people than I did when I was living there, which was at least 3 diffrent staffs! The manager also changed the last month was there! The woman that lived -------- owes Boardwalk of Baytown enough money to build her apartment. I know what happened a person that has lived there longer than you is having the same problems that I did! I bet you are one of the ----- people that live in the back of the property and never even make it to the office execpt to pay your rent! The apartment that I was living in was right next to the office. Oh when Ike hit too, I was lucky! The only thing that happened was a bunch of trees fell. It took them weeks to get that cleared and I had my new born with me! You are just some dumb ----- hooker that is mad b/c you are losing business. In the year that I lived there i have seen at least 10 residents leave b/c they couldn't stand what was going on there, including a dealer that was forced out b/c the cops were called. I guess that's why you are so mad, you dealer got kicked out...awww... well get over it!

And another thing, my familly and I were chased out by roaches, knats, noisey neighbors, mold, uncompromising staff, lousy maintainence and drug dealing. Ugh, I can't even believe they are still in business. Now, say something about that stupid little -----. Ya'll need to go take care of your kids, especially you -----, with your Flamingo looking baby.

This place seriously sucks! i hate it here and i cant wait to move. the person who wrote the blog below about the anoynmous person .. is prob a dumb low life person who works here with no life but to be such a lying ----- who screws ppl over. for one.. lets just say this low life persons name is "------" the "lease manager," says we owe $900 for a lease break!!! HAHAHA really not! we owe $485. check your file.. OH WAIT!! you cant find it! funny how things happen around here. then your maintaince boys.. all they do is ride around on there litle golf carts and do nothing and rig things.. like painting over mold. this place sucks and i suggest no one move here. the staff is rude and liars. oh ps: staff person who ever wrote back to this ----- blog.. you really need to learn how to spell right. you sit there and you make yourself look oh so smart, but in reality you're not. this place is trashy. i can not wait to get out of here. i should have never moved here. there are bugs everywhere. nats, roaches, you name it.. we have it! leaky faucet, oven hasn't worked since we moved in this dump. we have told them 94568596854768946860475409 times about these problems. the people that live here do not bother me.. its more so the staff, and the maintanance guys. the only person that actually does work, is the guy that picks up the trash with the hat on.The only nice ---- in the office is -------. I cant wait till the BBB gets you! have a great day :)

When I first read your review, I was shocked and confused. I have lived there for almost five years and absolutely love what the new owners have done with it. I could not understand how your experience could be so different so I read your "review" again and quickly realized it is a fake review. First off, you are NOT telling the truth about your July 2009 rent payment. You say the complex lost your money order in early July 2009 and you were able to get the replacement money order in a few weeks. That is impossible as I have been through this process twice before. In the best case, it takes at least 60 days to get your replacement money order. So the real story is that you did NOT pay your July 2009 rent and got evicted over it. And now you want to make them out to be a ghetto. But your lies get deeper. According to your own words, the office sent someone out to do repairs several times as soon as you made the request. You quibble over whether the repairs was done right which smells like baloney. You say you lived at The Meadows in 2004 with your family. It could not have been too bad because you then rented your own apartment from 2008 to 2009. You also say that you owe the complex $600 from 2004 but did not say whether you paid them for that. You also say that you did not know that you had to pay your own final utility bills. Come on, everyone knows that utilities are not free in the last month that live in an apartment complex. I bet you left owing Boardwalk a lot of money and they have put that debt on your credit report and now you are trying to get revenge via a nasty fake review. I also like how you blame the complex for the behavior of your neighbors who come and "bother" you at 7 am. I wonder what they were bothering you for - a $20 quickie or maybe to buy some crack? That explains your graveyard shift working hours. Maybe if you had been a better hooker or drug dealer, you could have made enough to pay your rent. Take your fake review, go live with your baby daddy and ply your "trade" elsewhere.

Just letting you guys know that I came on here to read some reviews to check and see if this was a nice place or not, and this argument is rediculous and does not look good for the apartment. The person who said this is a fake review, it would have been an ok response if you hadn't called the other person a hooker/drug dealer. Nobody wants to live in a place with people like that. You're trying to defend this place, but it's not working when you make people think hookers/drug dealers are living there. You both failed and I feel sorry for the owners of this place if none of the bs is true. One thing is for sure, I don't want to live with people who are going to argue outside of my door. By reading these comment, I'm getting that impresion in my head. So I will not be living here.

I have been living here for about 6 months....The staff, yes change seems like everytime i step foot in the office. When they are trying to get you to move in they are the nices people you would want to meet, until you sign that lease and they have no time to answer you questions. The hooker/drug dealers is very true. The bad ass ghetto kids, awful. I would tell anyone if you have small children please look elsewhere, i have a 7 and a 5 year old and they cant even go to the park without someone smoking and cursing out there. I try to let them have a little fun but from the smell of pot we have to move around so we go to roseland. They should have apt patrol or something, cause tenants and their guest drive through the parking lot like they are trying to put out a fire somewhere, even when the icecream truck is stopped with a line of kids waiting. I lived here {MEADOW} back when my oldest was like six months until he was about 18 months old and it was nice then. Now it is {UGH} as soon as my lease is up I will be moving.
