I was so excited to move to these apartments at first because this was my first home by myself Sad to say the worst experience I could every go through in life. Please if you are thinking about staying at these apartment think twice hell think it over 3 times please. First off I am a black female and I was living w/ my boyfriend we stayed in an upstair apartment and He smoked on that balcony. One day I got a note on my door stating I would be fined a fee if maintenance found any more cigar butts on the ground( Like my boyfriend is the only one who smoked outside of the apartment and put cigar butts out on the ground Just single me out). Secondly my ceiling in my room leaked due to Piping issues and I ask 100Xs to fix it never got fixed. Thirdly as soon as I moved to the apartments one month later (after Hurrican Rita when we came back after restocking all my foods)My Refrigerator went out and all my food spoiled. And All maintenace had to do was replace a simple little $6 piece. Did they replace my food hell no, they ask if I had renters insurance, and when I called State Farm and ask if they covered that they said no they dont cover it because Its the apartment responsiblity to maintain appliances,so I was just S.O.L. Lastly when I moved out they took all my dep and then some which I paid over 400 dollars for because the advise the had to replace sheet rock in apt because I had two nail holes where I hung pictures. And replaced carpet they stated It was something on it they could not get out. I KNOW THAT WAS A LIE because in the lease it states that its acceptable to hang pictures and gave certain amt of how many nail holes they allowed. I could just go on and on With my experience w/ Stupid people in office who act like Ignorant, inconsiderate people Hell I could write a book
I wish I had a lawyer or went to fair housing on them. They were the worst

Hindsight is 20/20. It does sound like you could still have a case, if the statute of limitations did not run out. I would still check it out if I were you. Ask a lawyer.
