I lived at Madison for 2 years and during that time I would say that my experience there was OVERALL a nice one. There were some problems with my unit when I first moved in, but they were promptly rectified. Managment usually seemed nice and eager to help with questions and concerns.

Some positives:
1) Space. The two bedroom unit I had was very spacious and affordable. The master bedroom and closet was huge. Also, big dining/kitchen area.
2) W/D included. A washer and dryer came with my unit, so it was easy to do laundry. (W/D, however, is actually IN the second bedroom which is kind of odd. Plus, you can't do laundry past 9pm otherwise the tenants below can hear it and may complain about how noisy you're being.)

Some negatives:
1) Traffic. The area around these apartments is being built up at a fairly fast rate; there are many new businesses and medical centers going up on the same and adjacent streets.
2) No pool. This didn't affect me much, but if you like sitting out by the poolside or swimming, you won't be able to do that here.
3) Parking for guests. Visitor parking is very much lacking.

These apartments are right off of a highway, so there is some road noise, but you get used to it. Also, if you have kids you'll want to make sure to keep an eye on them at all times so they don't wander off onto the road.

On a final note, make sure your unit both inside and out is immaculate before you move out. They charged me $50 because the OUTSIDE of my windows were dirty.
