My husband and I have lived here for 10 months now and it is a nice place to live.

Positives: Layout is great, hidden washer and dryer closet (washer and dryer included), fire place makes living room more attractive, large vanity in master bath / bed, spaciouse closets, great maintenance guy, quiet area, ceiling fans, and really nice neighbors. Location is great!!! Right near everything I need (HEB, Post Office, Bank, Wal-Mart, Mall, ect) Park right down the road. Gated but it is broken a lot, and anyone can follow you right through the gate anyway. Pet deposit is steep 500, but it is refundable.

Negatives: Our electric bill was through the roof!!! They refused to replace the ancient ac unit and tried to tell us that electric is high every where. Ours was always an average of 200 give or take each month. Our neighbors with newer ac units paid less than 100 in the summer. Ants were a problem but that was quickly remedied. When we moved in the dish washer and microwave were ancient, but they promtly replaced them with brand new ones. There is a huge dich running in front of the apartments (some sort of drainage area I guess, looks like a raging river when it rains) very bad mosquito breeding ground, and there is no fence between parking and the drop off, I am always scared that my 2 year old will fall in. They are raising the rent to 800 for our 2 bedroom so we are looking for something better. Also windows have terrible air leakage, when they weed eat outside, blades of grass get inside my childrens room while the windows are shut!

Is this a large complex? Does it have 100 units? If the a/c units are old and inefficient this place must be about 20 yeard old... or older? Do the security gates REALLY keep bad guys out?
