My wife and I stayed at Amherst for 9 months in a one bedroom/one bathroom apartment.
I found the application process was a bit cumbersome comparing to other places I have rented from. The apartment in itself was fantastic. The kitchen was nice with standard large kitchen appliances. I love the layout of the rooms. The complex had many additional amenities. Computer access, bbq, pool and exercise facility. On an additional note, there were frequent activities such as monthly community activities. Unfortunately for me, it seemed as though these activities always conflicted with my work schedule. The building was fairly resistant to the noise and is located in a peaceful setting. For the most part, the staff and maintenance were great. Overall it is a great place if you like living in the suburbs and I would recommend Amherst to friends and family.
