My husband and I just moved out of the Arbors on Forest Ridge.
Good Things About the Apartment:
1. It is very quiet. We did not ever hear our neighbors.
2. Convience of the location.
3. More than Adequate Closet Space.
4. Fireplace was a nice asthetic feature.
Reasons Why we Moved:
1. Outrageously Expensive Electricity Bills. Take a look at the AC units outside of the apartment and you will see they are outdated. Our AC ran constantly because the unit was not adequate to cool the apartment during the summer. Our electric bill during the summer was on average $250. This is on the second floor of an apt approximately 650 Square FT.
2. Pharoh Ants invading our home in search of water.
3. Neglecting to paint the apartments and maintain the outer appearance.
4. Dogs are allowed to use the restroom anywhere they prefer including the sidewalks and their owners often do not clean up after them.
5. We frequently received notices on our door stating we had not paid all of our rent, and whenever we went to the office they realized that they had made a mistake (again). This shows a complete lack of professionalism. This was very bothersome because we had to take the time to fix their mistake. Also the office manager is extremely annoying. She acts like she is bipolar in a constant state of mania. My husband says she acts like a middle aged teenager. Initially this could be mistaken as her trying too hard to be friendly, but it really makes showing up to the office a major chore.
Results of Moving Out:
They are keeping 3/4 of our refundable deposit.
We were charged:
$20 for Carpet Vacuum and Floor Sweep- (The last thing we did on move out day was vacuumed the carpet and swept/ Mopped the floor. It was very clean.)
$45 Replace 3 Blinds- (We did have 3 of the pieces on the blinds in the bedroom bent on the outside corner, but even if they had to replace that individual set of blinds it would not cost $45.)
$9 Scheduler Move Out- We arranged to move out on the day we did with the Apt Manager, so I have no clue what this fee is for.
$4.51 Final Water Bill- That is a legitimate fee.
Final Note:
We are not going to appeal these charges because we do not want to deal with the extremely annoying manager. We had rather lose $74 than have to talk to her again.

I know that is correct. I have seen her treat long term residents with complete disrespect.
Not only that but she allows her maintenance staff to drink on the job.
