Theft Concerns

They fixed most of the things we requested in a somewhat timely manner. There have been multiple vehicle thefts and apt. burglaries according to the Bedford Police website in the 12 months or so that we have lived there.
http://www.ci.bedford.tx.us/police/criminal had a vehicle stolen from there in December during a 'raid' by criminals. At least 3 vehicles were stolen that night and several more had the steering column damaged and/or had windows broken out. In the apt, the door locks are subpar. The deadbolt throws are not fully maximized (they need to drill out the holes farther where the dead bolt goes) and the latch plates use small screws instead of beefy 3" ones that go into the wall stud. The primary pool was closed all summer in 2002. There used to be a Brinks security truck outside but it has been gone for many, many months so the complex looks like an easy target. The wooden fence along the southern perimeter is broken all the time and sags against or near vehicles in the parking lot from time to time. Juveniles pass through the broken fence. Totally defeats the large metal fence at those apartments.
Mgmt has been pretty friendly and I have no complaints about them other than they don't ask for positive identification when picking up packages UPS or FedEx left for residents. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
