Unless you like LOTS of noise...

Let me just start by saying that these are the poorest made, insulation-less ramshackle apartments around. We haven't lived in that many apartments, but can someone here please tell me if EVERYONE ALWAYS HEARS EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE APARTMENT ABOVE THEM'''!!! And I mean EVERYTHING!!! Eewww...GROSS!!! Is it every apartment, or just mine' The people above us are like the thundering herd. They're constantly crashing around up there, like they're sumo wrestling or something. Our windows and doors shake and rattle when they walk (and their kids run...ALL THE TIME), not to mention my pictures on the walls and the ceiling fan. The ceiling (their floors) creak and moan with their every move, and the entire apartment shudders. I swear sometimes I think they're going to come straight through the ceiling, and all I can do is just sit and pray that they actually don't. They're always home, they're never still, they're always walking or running around up there, and I don't think they ever even sleep. Needless to say, we can't sleep. And of course, if you ask them nicely if they could be a little quieter, or if they could please have their kids NOT run so much, they just do it ten times worse. I have kids, too, although they're teenagers now, and I know how little kids are, they're always running. But you should do your best to get a bottom floor apartment if you have small children, because these concrete and wrought iron stairs aren't very safe. But if I'm paying the exact same rent they are, why do they get NONE of the noise, and we get it ALL' It just doesn't seem fair to me. A little common courtesy is not going to kill anybody. I have to live on the bottom floor because I am disabled, and there is no possible way that I can climb stairs. The management refuses to say a word to them. I've been in two other apartments in my lifetime, and both on the first floor. We could always hear a little of what went on upstairs, but NOTHING like this place. It's horrible. These apartments are pretty old, and not in very good shape, so I really have doubts as to how sturdy the foundations are. And as I sit here writing this, someone is BLARING their car radio outside in the parking lot, which happens very often. I couldn't even hear the person that I was speaking on the phone with, it was so loud. And of course, the management will do NOTHING about that, either. Electric bills are WAY too high, I'm sure due to the complete lack of insulation and weatherstripping. Oh, and if you are unfortunate enough to go ahead and rent here, three words of caution for you about the office staff-BEWARE THE TIFFANATOR!!! This woman is a real ballbuster. You can tell before she ever even opens her mouth to speak. She totally scares me. Trust me, you'll see what I mean. The old adage "you get what you pay for" definitely rings true here. We ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT be signing another lease.

I to have encountered the TIFFanator, although I thought she was more of a bulldog. Not that the manager is any better. I to will not be renewing my lease. I will I had never moved in here. All I have to say is can't wait till I move out.
